THE MOVEMENT - Within The Warrior
A series of workshops that work off of Shoshin. The Zen Japaneses Buddhist word for the beginners mind. There is a concept in Zen Buddhism known as shoshin, which means “beginner's mind.” Shoshin refers to the idea of letting go of your preconceptions and having an attitude of openness when studying a subject. When you are a true beginner, your mind is empty and open. Shoshin refers to adopting a mindset of humility and curiosity when approaching a subject — even if one is already at an advanced level.
‘No one has truly mastered movement until it can be used in a multitude of ways'.

‘I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks. I feat the man who has practiced 1 kick 10,000 times’
- Bruce Lee.

This life offers to us a constant state of learning. We must remember it is a practice and the more we practice the more finely tuned we become to a stronger mindset that we are more capable than we realise.
This workshop allows us to delve deep into the intelligence of the human body and how to use it in a way to teach us much about ourselves. With a mixed movement approach you will begin to break through habitual ways of moving and thinking that will allow you to explore the benefits of space on the body and ignite the warrior within.
You will be offered an opportunity to view your practice in a completely new way. One that gives way for a new approach and wider perspective to the way you move and think about your practice and self. This way of moving promotes a strong physical and mental ability to withstand challenges while exploring range of motion and breath.
Over the 3 hours we will begin to build a flexible and resilient body and mind by exploring ways of moving that allow you to be reactive, impulsive, playful and diverse. By challenging the body we are challenging the mind. All can be translated into your everyday lives in helping us embrace chaos and grow stronger with randomness. No one has truly mastered movement until it can be used in a multitude of ways.
Expect to have the physical and metal capacity of your being widened, strengthened, stretched, opened and educated. This workshop guarantees to be fun, educational & progressive.
Why should we move? It’s simple… because we can. Just move, move better, move more, move with freedom.
